We offer lots of great classes!

Our classroom is small, so our class size is limited. Classes do fill quickly, so in order to avoid disappointment, be sure to call or come in ASAP to reserve your place. Class enrollment is on a first come, first serve basis. All classes must be prepaid.  We do have a couple of “in house” sewing machines available for student use, but machines must be reserved at time of registration. Cost of class does not include books or materials. A supply list will be issued at time of registration.

Our ever popular "LEARN TO QUILT SERIES" begins on Tuesday, March 16, from 10:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. The series runs for 8 weeks. Begin by learning about color and picking out fabric and progressing through all the various steps to a finished project.  Still the same value price of $150.00 for twenty-four hours of instruction. Book required.    

Quilt 'til U Wilt
Quilt 'til U Wilt is on for Friday, March 5 from 5:00 P.M. til ???  Cost: $5.00
Bring a snack to share and we'll supply the pizza and the soft drinks.    

It's a Wrap II  for beginners & advanced Sunday, March 28, 1:00-4:00 P.M.
Come join Scott Farmer and learn all the ins and outs of making these fabric baskets, bowls and bags.Make a fabulous container in a choice of shapes: round, oval, square or ??? You won't be able to "contain" your creativity! Whether you are new or experienced, Scott will show you tips and tricks to making fantastic original works of art. Book Required. Cost: $25.00   

Morning Glory Jacket Workshop April 10 & 17
We are hosting a jacket workshop by Margaret Winder of Morning Glory designs. The workshop will take place in 2 sessions, April 10 and April 17 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. We have 2 samples of her jackets on display in the shop and lots of variety in patterns. You may choose any one of her patterns for the workshop. This workshop fill quickly and space is limited, so don't procrastinate on this one! Cost is $45.00

Free Pattern Party!!! Saturday, May 15, 10:00 A.M.
Come join Cynthia George of Blank Quilting as she shows the latest and the greatest patterns from QuiltWoman.com. Pattern orders may be prepaid and we'll notify you when they are available. Cynthia will also give a short demonstration on finding the pattern repeat on batiks and show the new line of Blank Fabrics. The party is free, but you MUST call the shop in advance (303-277-0717) to reserve your place.

Language of Color and Design 13 Month Series $285.00 Begins Tuesday, March 9, 2010 6:00 P.M. 
Whether you are a traditional quilter or a contemporary mixed media artist, harnessing the power of color and the dexterity of design will improve what you create and make the process more enjoyable. For those of you who are ready to step out and delve deep into your creativity, the class can be a life/art changing experience. This class includes in-depth study of classic color and design theory using a "show and tell" model. Each month, Heather will introduce a new concept with lots of samples, then class members will spend a month exploring the new lesson and bring their projects the following month for group discussion. For anyone who is dedicated to becoming more creative regardless of skill level!  
 
Doodle & Dance Beginning Machine Quilting 1 Session $40.00 Saturday, March 13, 2010 10:00 A.M. -1:00 P.M. 
This class is for quilters with no previous quilting experience or those struggling with poor results. Learn proper basting techniques, choices in marking and no marking techniques, and how to get the most out of your walking foot, and begin exploring free motion techniques. Must have a sewing machine able to drop or cover its feed dogs and a walking and free motion foot.  
 

"Free Lace " by Machine 1 Session Saturday, March 13, 2:00-6:00 P.M. $40.00
Learn how to create a luscious free lace scarf using a simple straight stitch on your sewing machine, water soluble stabilizer and lots of fun, funky fibers. Once you learn this fabulous technique, you can also use the lace to make a purse, pillows, or table topper. Fun and easy for any skill level. Pattern is included in class fee.  

"Fleur" TableRunner I Session Sunday, March 14, Noon-5:00 P.M.  $60.00 (Includes Pattern) This class uses Heather's unique pattern and features five painted flowers running down the center surrounded by a border of vines, leaves and swirls. All of it is painted using Shiva Paintstiks and easy to cut freezer paper stencils. Embellish it with hot fix metals or crystals, beads & sequins. This is a delightful project for any skill level.  

Designing Machine Quilting 1 Session $40.00 Thursday, March 25, 2010 1:00-4:00 P.M. or 6:00-9:00 P.M. 
For those with some free motion experience who are struggling with the design aspect of the process. Learn how to visualize and make the most of the positive and negative space on your quilt tops as you bring them to life. Bring several quilt tops for discussion. No machine required. 
As always, we discount 20% any supplies listed on the class supply list.

Please note: Class fees must be paid in full at time of registration. Students will be given a supply list when registered. A 20% discount will be given only on those supplies listed.
*Advanced Beginner - Must be able to rotary cut accurately, sew an accurate ¼ inch seam allowance, understand & follow pattern instructions, be familiar with quilting terminology and techniques including machine piecing, quilting and binding.

Birthday Discount. We are offering a birthday discount on the day of your birthday equal to ½ your age on all regular priced merchandise. You must come in on the day of your birthday to be eligible for the discount. Identification required. Some exclusions apply.

Class Cancellation Policy: Quilt ‘til U Wilt and Class fees are payable in advance and are nonrefundable.  If the class is canceled by Golden Quilt Company, you may either reschedule for the same or another available class at another time, or request a refund. Class fees do not include supplies. You will receive a supply list at the time of registration. You will receive a 20% discount on all supplies listed.
