Lucy Boston's Patchwork of the Crosses 

​Many customers have requested an English Paper Piecing Block of the Month…with a little research we discovered the popularity of Lucy Boston’s Patchwork of the Crosses.

The kits will include 1 yard total of fabric (it may be a half yard and 2 FQ), Eppliflex English Paper Piecing Templates, and Mettler 60 weight silk finish thread.

The complete directions for using these heat resistant plastic templates are on YouTube. The templates are extraordinary to use…patented design that bend when you need them to and can be used again and again. Choose stitching, glue basting or starch basting to attach the fabric. The templates can be throw in a lingerie bag to be washed; and the Sharpie marker lines used to fussy cut can be removed with rubbing alcohol. 

There will be a limited number of kits available each month. Cost for the kit will be $32.50 + shipping. This month’s kit contains the 3 fabrics shown in the sample and 4 or 5 blocks can easily be fussy cut from them. The blocks are approximately 10 inches square.

Greystone

​This stunning 6 month Block Of the Month will start hopefully in October 2021.  It features Sticks ‘n Stones batiks designed by Jean Wells for Island Batiks.

The pattern, Greystone, was designed by Chris Hoover of Whirligig Designs. It’s design features both traditional and foundation piecing. This dynamic black background quilt finishes at 57” by 73”.

Illusions

Join us in November 2021 for this exciting sampler Block of the Month designed by Scott Flanagan of 4th and Main Designs. This 88” by 112” quilt is created with Banyon Batiks from their rich Lustre Collection.

During this 12 month BOM called Illusions,  you will learn a variety of blocks to expand your piecing skills. Block size is 24 inches. The Lustre collection contain beautiful fabrics and you will be able to select the border color ( blue, burgundy, purple or turquoise) when you register for the BOM.
