Foundation Paper Piecing
THIS CLASS MEETS ONCE
Foundation Paper piecing is a skill that all quilters should have, even if it is not used often, or for all blocks in your quilt.
Foundation Paper Piecing, FPP for short, is not the same as English Paper Piecing. Foundation paper piecing uses paper as a foundation on which to machine sew fabric pieces making precise points and intricate designs.
In this class, you will learn how to piece together a quilt block using several different methods: The traditional method using two different weights of paper, The Freezer Paper method where there is no tearing away the paper after sewing, and then the muslin method.
You will start with a simple block and then progress towards more complex blocks. Most of the blocks you will make in this class will be 6” square and smaller so that we will have time to make several with varying degrees of complexity.
